Hospital de Sant Pau
Hospital de Sant Pau is the largest Modernist architectural complex in the world and one of Barcelona’s most outstanding tourist sites. Its architectural uniqueness and beauty led UNESCO to declare it a World Heritage Site in 1997. Hospital de Sant Pau is a truly hospital city with a surface area equal to 9 Eixample blocks, 19 separate Modernist pavilions linked by 1 km underground passageways and more than 15 km2 of gardens.
You can walk from Hospital de Sant Pau to Sagrada Família in 10 minutes, up the pleasant Avinguda Gaudí, an avenue full of colours and flavours you cannot afford to miss: shops, cafes, restaurants and so on.
